Clean Living

How is your overall lifestyle? How do you feel when you wake up? What chemicals and products are you using on a daily basis? What foods are you eating?

Detoxing is more than a fad.  In our modern day, the liver (which does so much for our overall health) is bombarded by it's modern toxins and stressors. When we have a sluggish liver we have trouble regulating hormones, producing bile to digest fat, we have trouble removing/excreting stored toxins. The list goes on.

A sluggish liver comes from a mixture of day to day use or exposure of environmental toxins (radiation, pollution, heavy metals, cigarette smoke, etc.), internal toxins (pathogens, viruses, pathogenic bacteria overgrowth, etc.) and exogenous toxins (alcohol, rancid oils, eating foods we're intolerant to, parabens & phthalates found in our skincare products, conventional cleaning products, fragrances, VOCs from candles, plastic use and ingestion, and so much more.

Let's walk through how to minimize the controllable sources.

Healthy Home

My 11 page detox your life guide to walk you through detoxing everything from your kitchen to laundry room to social life.

This guide is included in my 7-day detox as well as my Strengthen in Sixty program

For now start by recognizing how much stuff in your day to day life you are touching that is plastic...once you are aware of it, start slowly removing plastic all throughout your house (straws, plates, bowls, tupperware, writing utensils, receipts, etc.).

Next up fragrance...time to ditch the lemon scented soaps and cleaning products and switch to unscented everything.  Look into a reputable essential oils source and make your own perfume/cologne -we have got to get rid of those endocrine disruptors if we want to see health changes and support our liver.

Those intense smelling candles and fabreeze sprays/plug ins...time to say good-bye! Buy candles made from soy, beeswax, and with essential oil.

Healthy Intake

Feeling sluggish after a meal? Feeling GI distress, bloating, diarrhea, brain fog, acne, redness or any other symptoms after eating certain foods or meals?

1. Let's make sure you are fueling your body with nourishing foods and avoiding inflammatory foods including rancid oils

2. If you're having digestive issues, time to go internal. Is your body making enough bile to digest fat? Do you have enough HCl acid in the stomach to breakdown protein? Do you feel inflamed? Are you eating in a relaxed environment? Do you have food intolerances?

Many questions to be asked, which is why no one diet or one protocol works for everyone. We are all so individualized with what goes on internally and externally.

Healthy Skin Care

How is your skincare/haircare routine?

EcoWatch stated "The report was based off research from the Environmental Working Group (EWG). The nonprofit survived about 2,300 people in the U.S., and found that the average woman uses 12 products containing 168 unique ingredients every day. The average man uses six products daily with 85 unique ingredients..."

Skin is our largest organ and when we put harmful chemicals on our skin on a daily basis, some of those chemicals can make way into the bloodstream, which can set us up for inflammatory responses in the body.

I have found less is (typically) always more and to always pay the extra couple of dollars for products that you know are safe and will leave your endocrine system alone. I have started using Beauty Counter products for skin, makeup, hair and sunscreen and haven't looked back since. Knowing they not only have some of Americas cleanest products, but also continue to fight to make the cosmetic world a safer place for all.

Healthy Mind, Body & Soul

Supporting our body and our health is far more than just making the big changes around food and exercise. Success is often found in changing the things we can't see (stress management; soul support; mindset around body image, finances, health and more; endocrine disrupting hormones and plastic use; organic vs nonorganic, etc.)

My Strengthen in Sixty (SIS) program helps educate and provide tools to support hormone health, blood sugar control and stress management in eight weeks.
